The Black Maple Gin Liqueur is set to provide the ultimate tabletop accompaniment for those celebrating Shrove Tuesday tonight.
Sipsmith describes the brand new liqueur as scented with “rich honeycomb and butterscotch with a touch of burnt orange”, and with a tasting palate comprised of a “long smooth salted caramel mouthfeel”. Our mouths are drooling already…
As it takes nine litres of sap from a maple tree to make only one litre of the tantalizing syrup, maple sugaring is a timely process, matching the care and attention that is required to give Sipsmith’s London Dry Gin its signature taste.
After being allowed to macerate for 12-14 hours, the gin is distilled in copper stills, bringing the rich flavours of its 10 unique botanicals to fruition.
Only then is the gin both part smoked, and part infused, with the black maple syrup, giving it a rich golden colour and its signature butterscotch notes.
To get your hands on this new bottle you will need to sign up to the Sipsmith Sipping Society, which we can guarantee will get even more slippery to pronounce after sampling their specimens!
You can join here for a bi-monthly payment of £35, which will ensure that you will receive an exciting delivery of two 20cl bottles of Slipsmith’s newest experimental gins, every other month.
If you thought you couldn’t be any more excited for Pancake Day, think again…
