When is Ogden’s Pink Pig opening?
The former Pink House is set to reopen Presidents Day as the Pink Pig.
“We’re opening Feb. 19 at 11 a.m.,” co-owner Traci Lipps said.
The barbecue restaurant’s menu was also recently posted on Facebook, featuring pulled pork, corned beef, sausage links, turkey pastrami and chicken, along with various sandwiches, salads and appetizers.
“And we have seven signature, homemade barbecue sauces,” Lipps said.
She said feedback from the community has been “very positive. Everybody’s very excited and supportive.”
The restaurant will employ about 26 people, most from Ogden and the surrounding area, Lipps said.
Lipps, who also owns Willow Creek Farm in Urbana, owns Pink Pig along with Ryan Rogiers and Victor Fuentes, who also owns the El Toro Mexican restaurants, V. Picasso and The WheelHouse in St. Joseph.
They’re transforming the Ogden icon at the corner of U.S. 150 and Market Street from a bar painted pink to a family restaurant painted gray.
“We are very excited,” Lipps said. “We just hope to see everybody out here.”
